In this regard, fast moving consumer goods are a group of commodities, which strongly require a coherent and efficient distribution mechanism. The purpose of this study was to propose a conceptual model to design a goods distribution channel for fast moving consumer goods manufacturing and importing companies in Iran based on the grounded theory. At the model design step, an open-ended interview was carried out with 19 marketing, sales and logistics experts, desired codes were extracted from the responses using open coding and finally, each of the extracted codes was assigned to a concept. After this step, the extracted concepts based on the paradigm model were assigned to different categories including causal conditions (organizational issues), pivotal issues (pivotal distribution channel issues), strategies (channel design and maintenance strategy), contextual conditions (macro environment issues), confounding conditions (micro environment issues) and consequences (functional outcomes) using axial coding, and a conceptual model was developed. At the quantitative model assessment step, structural equation modeling was used. For this purpose, a questionnaire consisting of 81 items was developed and distributed among the marketing and supply chain experts, and a total of 67 questionnaires were returned. According to the results, the relationship was significant between organizational issues and pivotal distribution channel issues; pivotal distribution channel issues and channel design and maintenance strategy; channel design and maintenance strategy and functional outcomes; macro environment issues and organizational issues and channel design and maintenance strategy; and finally, micro environment issues and channel design and maintenance strategy.https://www.ijiems.com/article_106255_988b1828eb3e87c2d9bdc1eaa6d2f7f5.pdfUniversity of HormozganInternational Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management Science2409-18717120200401A bi-objective natural disaster blood supply chain network considering blood transfusion: A case study in Babol2040106254ENMehdi AlizadehBabol Noshirvani University of TechnologyFarnaz SharbafiBabol Noshirvani University of TechnologyMohammad Mahdi PaydarBabol Noshirvani University of TechnologyJournal Article20190911Mismanagement of the blood supply chain is one of the reasons that intensifies the crisis during natural disasters. In this paper, a multi-echelon blood supply chain consisted of donors, portable blood facilities, blood transfusion centers, hospitals, and blood receivers, is considered. The fact that in addition to hospitals that help injured people, childbearing medical centers also have significant demand for blood is also considered in the proposed model. In case of a disaster, roads or medical centers may be devastated by incidents such as earthquakes and floods. The presented model is shown to be capable of proposing alternative routes and medical centers. Since blood is highly perishable, considering the time needed for processing the received blood and minimizing the amount of wasted blood are critical. The model consists of two objective functions: the first considers the economic dimensions of the supply chain and the second focuses on minimizing the blood transfusion time from portable facilities to the hospitals. The proposed bi-objective model is solved using the lexicographic method. The results obtained from a case study in Babol show the applicability of the model and provides some managerial insights to the problem.https://www.ijiems.com/article_106254_5fc8349f0009a660db94a137ea514bc8.pdfUniversity of HormozganInternational Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management Science2409-18717120200401Operating Room Scheduling considering Patient Priority: Case of Shomal Hospital in Amol4152106256ENAli DivsalarDepartment of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Materials &amp; Industrial Engineering, Babol Noshirvani University of Technology, Babol, IranAmirhossein JokarDepartment of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Materials & Industrial Engineering, Babol Noshirvani University of Technology, IranSaeed EmamiDepartment of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Materials & Industrial Engineering, Babol Noshirvani University of Technology, IranJournal Article20191021Nowadays, hospitals are seeking to reduce their costs and to improve their financial circumstances. They are looking to reach the highest level of patient satisfaction as well. Operating rooms are one of the most critical departments and a great source of income in hospitals. In this research, an operating room scheduling problem is studied, which considers patient priorities based on a real case study. The problem comes from a medium-size private hospital in the north of Iran. To tackle this problem, a mixed-integer-program model is presented. The model considers the hospital’s resources and constraints as well as patients’ priority according to their age and the type of operation they need. In this model, assigning elective patients to operating rooms and the sequence of patients' surgeries have determined to minimize the surgeon waiting time as the objective function. The model is implemented in Cplex 12.9 software, and the efficiency of the model is shown by comparing the obtained results with the current situation. Real data of one week from the hospital is used to prove the efficiency of the model. Analyzing the results show a 35 percent improvement compare to the hospital's current scheduling method.https://www.ijiems.com/article_106256_bcdc111de94ba5531e1e46bde695e4ed.pdfUniversity of HormozganInternational Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management Science2409-18717120200401Advertising Differential Games: a Review on Models5365106257ENMostafa JafariIndustrial Engineering, IUST, Tehran, Iran0000000227945915Mohammad Mohammadpour OmranIndustrial Engineering, IUST, Tehran, Iran0000000227945915Ehsan JahaniIndustrial Engineering, Iran University of Science &amp;amp; TechnologyJournal Article20200215During the recent years, various research studies have been conducted on modeling the dynamic advertising process in the business realm. The competitive environment of this process has mostly been modeled using game theory, especially differential games with a capability of modeling the conflict in a dynamic environment. The present study aims to survey various types of differential game modeling and present the research gaps in this domain. To this end, 113 papers published between 1960 and 2019 are reviewed. The papers are classified based on five factors: the equilibrium type ( Nash / Stackelberg ), solution approach ( open-loop/closed-loop/feedback ), certainty state (deterministic /stochastic), the number of players (duopoly/oligopoly), and time horizon (finite/infinite) and are described using pivot charts. These five factors play a pivotal role in solving dynamic differential games. Finally, the key papers and the available research gaps are recognized and recommendations for performing future studies are presented.https://www.ijiems.com/article_106257_fa18d4752849b7e88d07facc460bed57.pdfUniversity of HormozganInternational Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management Science2409-18717120200401Soft systems methodology approach to IS change management6680106258ENSamira AsadikhouzestanJournal Article20200407The paper shows that how soft systems methodology was used to restrict and improve the traditional change management in the case of information system. Data analyzing and separating them into distinct groups is time-consuming and difficult for investors and managers. In this study, techniques of community detection are used to simplify stock market analysis. For this purpose, Tehran stock exchange has been selected and after collecting the latest price of transaction data, a correlation network of stock return has been developed. Then, using community detection, cohort companies were identified and it became clear that the stock of the same industry belonged to a common group. Therefore, it can be said that the correlation between stock prices of companies largely depends on the industry in which these companies are active. Hence, it can be concluded that the community detection technique works completely logically and its application will facilitate and accelerate the analysis of stock market data.https://www.ijiems.com/article_118104_3e6cf4e0d9795626de2402a26e08e0de.pdfUniversity of HormozganInternational Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management Science2409-18717120200401Three Stage Supply Chain Coordination and Profit Optimization of Agricultural Products in Bangladesh92104118107ENMohammad KhairulIslamDepartment of Mathematics, Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology, Gazipur-1707, BangladeshMd. Banani, Dhaka-1213, BangladeshJournal Article20200403ABSTRACT<br /> This research presents four different mathematical formulations for the coordination and three stage supply chain optimization of agricultural products in Bangladesh. In this analysis, we assumed that the producers-retailers-distributors are coordinated by mutually sharing their information. To developed a Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) model and analyze the situation of insufficient production capacity for the producer as the reason for shortages. The producers will coverage these shortages by outsourcing, which decided very beginning of the SCN. This plays a very important role in deciding so as to mitigate these challenges and to extend the system performance and individual gain of the SCN. The coordinated mechanism among the members of the market players has been projected to realize the best answer. The SCN was modeled using a formulation in mixed integer linear programming (MILP) that maximizes the total profit and also to estimate the product distribution of different locations which satisfy most of the customer demand. The formulated MILP model were solved by a mathematical programming language (AMPL) and results obtained by appropriate solver MINOS. Numerical example with the sensitivity of several parameters has been deployed to validate the models. Results show that after coordination, the individual profits could be increased without any extra investment.https://www.ijiems.com/article_118107_fd4360a1a8c095d02081d05c72be5c7a.pdfUniversity of HormozganInternational Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management Science2409-18717120200401Water Consumption Analysis Using Data Mining Techniques A Case Study: Fasa105114118103ENAbbas Dehghan BahraghaniPersian Gulf International Branch, Islamic Azad University, ABADAN, IranMohammad Reza FeylizadehDepartment of Industrial Engineering, Shiraz Branch,

The first step to reach this goal is to analyze the behavior and detect the interests of the consumer community. Such an informational background will make it easier to find appropriate solutions to improve the consumption pattern. Data Mining (DM) is one of the most efficient methods to detect and dig out useful structures existing behind raw information with minimum human error. The retrieved conclusions can help analysts solve decision-making problems in various organizations. The goal of this research is to determine the behavior patterns of water consumers in a given period. Data mining method will be used to analyze the consumers’ behavior in between 2015 and 2017. The extracted results about the total consumption of the sample community, the average amount of each user type and their changes will all be shown and reported.https://www.ijiems.com/article_118103_93dd5fba71472d9edd1ca8a686509534.pdfUniversity of HormozganInternational Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management Science2409-18717120200401A Novel Approach for Circular Trade Detection in Mercantile Exchange115126118106ENZainabolhoda HeshmatiAmirabad, North Kargar Street, Faculty of New Sciences and Technologies, University of Tehran0000-0002-5331-7488Ramin SalahshourUniversity of TehranJournal Article20200223The derivatives market having a significant number of investors trading in futures contracts, is vulnerable to manipulation by some perpetrators. Protecting market participants from a prevalent manipulation called circular trading and providing a fair market has always been a challenging task for regulators. This kind of malpractice is represented by the trading behaviors of a group of investors who trade among themselves frequently to increase the price of a commodity and consequently make forged prosperity. This type of securities fraud is also very similar to the well-known pump and dump strategy which involves artificially inflating the price of an owned stock, in order to sell the cheaply purchased stock at a higher price. This paper presents a network-based approach for detecting investors involved in such circular trading in the futures market. This is done initially by constructing the daily networks of investors’ trades, then, extracting all trade cycles of various lengths from these daily networks to arrive at the group of initial suspicious cycle traders. Finally, in order to exclude investors who are randomly involved in suspicious cycles, price fluctuations over time were analyzed. The proposed approach has been conducted on real data from Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) and as a warning system, has succeeded in detecting anomalous traders effectively.https://www.ijiems.com/article_118106_515117fb2b1ea9c3430104c04a690691.pdfUniversity of HormozganInternational Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management Science2409-18717120200401A memetic algorithm for multistage hybrid flow shop scheduling problem with multiprocessor tasks to minimize makespan12714511810510.22034/ijiems.2020.118105ENHadi GholamiDepartment of Computer Engineering, Ayatollah Amoli Branch, Islamic Azad University, Amol, Iran.Mohammad Taghi RezvanDepartment of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Kashan, 6 Km, Ghotbravandi Blvd, Kashan 8731753153, IranJournal Article20200108This paper presents an effective memetic algorithm (MA) for a hybrid flow shop scheduling problem with multiprocessor tasks (HFSMT) to minimize the makespan. The problem is modeled as deterministic by a mixed graph. This problem has at least two production stages, each of which has several machines, operating in parallel. Two sub-problems are considered for solving this problem: determining the sequence of jobs in the first stage and reducing the idle time of the processors in the next stages. The developed algorithm uses an operator called Bad Selection Operator. This operator holds the worst chromosomes of each generation and uses them to search in the space of other problems at predetermined timescales. Besides, this algorithm uses a dynamic adjustment structure to improve the ratio of crossover and mutation operators that could reduce the execution time. The efficiency of the proposed MA is investigated by testing it on well-known benchmark instances and also compared with other algorithms introduced in the literature. Computational results show that this algorithm has a good performance on problems which have more than two stages.https://www.ijiems.com/article_118105_394ca83a8c8feaf478f064bcdae46b2f.pdf
